"Apple to Mac Users: No Anti-Virus Software? Get It Now!"

| No TrackBacks

Rick Georges: "I have said for a long time that the only reason Macs weren't getting viruses was that the pool of Windows computers available for virus writers was so large. Now, it appears that Apple is telling Mac users they had better install antivirus software because the hackers are coming. Sweet irony. Check out the embedded video ad in which the Mac user gives a Kleenex to the PC user with a virus. While the Linux kernel upon which the Mac OS is based is tougher to attack, and there really haven't been as many Macs to attack, the script kiddies will be coming after Macs with a vengeance. After all, Mac users haven't had to keep the doors locked. Does Apple know something that we don't?"
