From an email bulletin: "The American Bar Association asked leaders in the law to offer their reflections on the 2010 Law Day theme, responding briefly to the following question:

What do you personally think is the most significant or interesting challenge that confronts law in the 21st century? In meeting this challenge, what legal tradition should we strive to maintain?

Visit the Reflections on the Theme section on www.lawday.org to read the responses and post your own comments.

We hope their intriguing, challenging, and provocative responses will inspire your Law Day programs as you plan activities such as making speeches, organizing panel discussions, talking with young people or community groups, writing op-eds, or drafting proclamations.

Several recent issues explore relevant topics and themes. Distributed three times a year, Insights focuses on three overriding themes: the Constitution (fall issue), current events and law (winter issue) and international legal issues (spring issue). Individual issues cost $10 and PDF downloads are $1.50..."

For Law Day 2009, we encourage efforts nationwide to commemorate Lincoln by exploring this rich and resonant theme - A Legacy of Liberty."
